Love Drops is a six-track EP released by Singaporean band Muon. Dark, atmospheric electronica fill this album, as songs conjure up images of electric, technicolour dreams and droning machines. Muon knows that the way to go is through minimalism; and as a result, the songs here are sparse, yet gives off a sense of calamity and doom. The band shows their prolific talents by mixing traits of electronic, rock and jazz into their songs. Title track, "Love Drops" is a melodic gem, "The Consequence Of.." more android based, and "This Is The End," a rock-ish number that spans over nine minutes. If robots fell in love, this is the kind of music they'd make. With all of its songs gradually growing on the listener at each listen to expose the robotic synths and beats, Love Drops places Muon on the map as one of the most exciting bands to emerge out of Singapore.
