A suited-up Joe Flizzow performing at the President press conference at Hard Rock Cafe
President is Joe Flizzow's first album as a solo artist. The album certainly looks set to be a presidential one, featuring collaborations with the likes of Asian Idol Hady Mirza, Asian-American champion MC Jin, Thai hip hop giants Thaitanium and Malaysia's Phlowtron, and the legendary American rapper KRS-One.
The story behind President has a little to do with recent global politcal elections, but more to do with the fact that Joe wanted to demonstrate that anybody can become President. Maybe not of a country, but anyone can start up their own company/label (as he has so successfully done) and be the driving force behind it; The President. Joe gave himself ample time to write and perfect the sound of President. The album is filled with mostly club/hip hop beats, but it is also infused with a distinct Asian flavour as Joe was inspired by his travels around the region. Many of Asia's finest producers were brought in to work on President, with the end result being something pretty special.
Joe is particularly proud of the track 'Isabella', which borrows from the original song by Malaysian evergreen rock legends Search. He reckons it's gonna be a huge hit. After hearing it live, in all it's glory, we think so too.
The 14-track album retails at RM31.20.

Go Joe!
who squeezed your bum?
wow. can some of the haters move to the right? it's getting a bit crowded here and i think someone squeezed my bum. anyway, shit decorated with the great KRS-One is still ... wait for it ... shit.
i prefer malique over this jayz-kanye west wannabe
haha. haters to the left. you know I used to think this dude was a poseur when he had dreads and to some extent I still do, but you can't disregard his rhyming skills or the fact that unlike him you've never done a collabo with the great KRS-One. Who do you think Hujan and Bittersweet sound like? You call that original? Haters to the left.
