Jakarta beheld Lamb of God on Monday night, and saw metal glory at its ball-crunching finest.
The band, fresh from the launch of their history-making album Wrath, which entered the Billboard charts at #2 (the highest-ever debut for a metal album), thrashed out bits of old and new for a set that surely pleased the thousands present at the Senayan Tennis Stadium.

well, what they're trying to say is a band as heavy as this made it to no2 for the 1st time. metallica aint that heavy and are more mainstream. whereas slipknots latest is abit mainstream also.

Pantera's Far Beyond Driven debut at #1 in 1994. I think that was a very extreme album.
Also, don't know if you want to consider them metal, but Slipknot's last album debut #1, Metallica's Death Magnetic also debut #1, actually metallica got a few albums debut #1.
