The British Council brings Islamic graffiti to Malaysia

Graffiti artist Mohammed Ali will be bringing his unique mix of street art and Quranic passages to Malaysia this July! The British Council will be flying in the bearded Brit to create a public mural alongside adidas’ official graffiti team Phobiaklik at the Arts segment of the Knowledge & Arts Tour 2009.
The tour is organised by the Young Muslims Project supported by the British Council, Asia e-University, Yayasan Rasma and the Muslim Professionals Form. The tour will also feature a series of talks, seminars and workshops with Malaysian and international speakers such as Suhaib Webb and Abdul Raheem Green, who hope to inspire youth to embrace the empowering message of Islam in their daily lives.
