Paramore spent the past couple months in the studio with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Less Than Jake) in Los Angeles recording the follow-up to their platinum-selling second album Riot!. Cavallo has previously worked with Paramore on 'Decode' for the Twilight soundtrack.
The album, which is yet to be titled, is expected to be released on 9 September 2009. In several interviews the band have said that compared to their new stuff, Riot! was a "kiddie album, but we had to do that to get to this point". They've also said they've changed sonically and you'll be able to hear different influences creeping into songs from the likes of Smashing Pumpkins to Arcade Fire to Radiohead.
Paramore are currently supporting No Doubt across a North American tour before heading to Summer Sonic 09 in Japan. So far, Paramore have included a few new tracks from their upcoming album on the tour set list like 'Where Lines Overlap' and 'Ignorance'. Other tracks that have been named are 'Brick By Boring Brick', 'Playing God' and 'Exception'.
Oh yeah, and Paramore are also said to be playing on MTV's Unplugged when it makes its comeback via its online website. Adele will be kicking the series off on 6 June.
