Kids On The Move - Changes
We came across Bill Hauser’s art by way of chance, from the intricate cover design of Kids On The Move’s new album Changes (CeaseFire Records). The sulphur (or slime) washed cover of zombies on the march on Changes is a throwback to 80s style grossout art—the heavy ink borders, garish poppin’ colours, and lots and lots of blood, slime and vermin.
It is an art form arguably most synonymous with Ugly Kid Joe’s album covers (that puckish looking kid with the baseball cap and the eternally-raised middle finger) and maybe Toxic Crusaders (the cartoon spun off from cult flick Toxic Avenger). The art of Minnesota-based Hauser is not all slimy skulls and entrail goop, however; there’s also more than a hint of early 90s British comic art, the type you would find in back issues of 2000 AD.
Hauser has done art for Famine, F.K.Ü., Brody's Militia, Undergång and many, many more. You can check out Hauser’s art on his MySpace or his page on GigPosters. And good news: Hauser is available for hire! Just get in touch with him via his MySpace or e-mail him at wbhauser@yahoo.com.

Just to set the record straight... I haven't done artwork for Minor Threat, Napalm Death, or Gorilla Biscuits. I did do a poster for the GB comeback show in Minneapolis, but have never officially done artwork for them. Thanks for the write up though, I appreciate it!
