Blogger Amcheong, or Anne Marie Chong, has always been obsessed with music: after taking her first lesson at age three, she now reads music composition in the National Arts, Culture and Heritage Academy (ASWARA) Malaysia. Which would explain her fine taste in music then (there’s an Ella Fitzgerald vid on her blog). Amcheong is also an aspiring composer, and performed four original compositions at ASWARA this month. Retail exec Christopher Tock is a dedicated man. Not only does he enjoy food, he undertakes its study with the precision of a lab technician. Amazingly, he does the same with music events, managing to take photos with a steady hand when mere mortals would be too drunk. His music interests are varied: despite trance music inducing “orgasms” within the Tock, he can still be seen sensibly taking in a Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra performance.
