Colbie Caillat collaborates with…Archie?

Colbie Caillat, who recently scored a hit with a Jason Mraz duet, will be collaborating again: this time in the comic everyone used to love at some point or another, Archie! Colbie is being written in as a character in Veronica Lodge’s own spin off series Veronica! Veronica #196, which will feature her new single ‘Falling For You’ off her new album Breakthrough (which you can see below).

The “you” that Colbie falls for will be no less than Archie Andrews himself, who has famously been playin’ both the original heiress Veronica and homemaker Betty Cooper for more than sixty years. In the story, also called ‘Fallin’ For You’, Betty wins tickets to see Colbie Caillat in concert and has promised to bring Archie. Veronica gets wind of their date, and she’ll let no one stand between her and her dream ginger prince.

Despite his serious commitment issues, Archie will propose to Veronica eventually. Breakthrough will be released towards the end of August, and Veronica #196 will hit newsstands a month later.
