Remember Kazaa? It was that wonderful application that, once upon a time, allowed those of us Asians who were deprived of good CD stores in the early 2000s, and who had been forsaken by Napster, to discover the wonderful wide world of music, movies and general good entertainment. All for the even more wonderful price of "free".
But of course, the legal eagles would never let us have fun for that long. And so in 2005, Kazaa was sued to its boots and was shut down. But it's now back...and legal!
So what does it do now? Essentially, it's a subscription-based service that gives subscribers unlimited access to hundreds of thousands of songs for about US$20 a month. The catch (because all things legal always have catches): the files can only be copied to a max of three PCs (and no Macs). The files can't be transferred to iPods or the like. And once your subscription ends, you will no longer be able to play those files. Oh, and as always, it's limited to US-based peeps for now.
So can it succeed? We'd like to say "yes", but ummmm...gosh. We'll see. Visit kazaa.com for a peep.
If those are the rules, it wont have much demand in third world countries. With RM70, i can do many things in a month.. $5 is the fair value. After all, with much improvement from our broadband, streaming dodgy files is no longer a problem.
Those were the days....

that is a hint. why? because there will always be a software to unlock the limitation. where to download that software?
of course through kaazaa itself. just like before..
yep another napster for ya.......the moment u institutionalise anything its just dies...........still, if you're the creators and u can cash out....why not
kazaa? why kazaa? i hate kazaa! *urgh!
