The Annexe Gallery's Art For Grabs returns offering film screenings curated by Farish Noor and celebrating the diversity of love in conjunction with our nation's independence.
The Annexe's Chung Wei wants art vendors to unite in the glory of art and bring their creative wares to sell. Among the things you can offer are paintings, photos, prints, sketches, sculptures, film, music, books, zines, t-shirts, dolls, accessories, recycled objects, handmade household appliances, etc (but no second hand books or clothes, please).
The booths can also be used to promote your arts/creative business and for a chance to show your patriotic side, you can create your own "Cenderahati Merdeka". Each 6' x 5' lot costs RM100 for two days and there are only 40 lots available; elevated lofts in both galleries are also available at RM300 for the entire loft in the middle gallery (fits six lots) and RM200 for the right gallery's loft (fits four).
To book your space, e-mail chungwei.centralmarket@gmail.com with the heading "Art For Grabs Merdeka" and include your name(s), phone number, photos and descriptions of what you are selling, and how many lots you need.
A few FREE lots are up for grabs too for NGOs and activists to promote their causes. E-mail your proposals to Chung Wei or call 603-2070 1137 for more info.
