I was lucky enough to get my hands on some very rough demos by this new project from Nadzri (formerly of Boneless Mahoney) two years back, and the astonishingly close approximations of Teenage Fanclub I heard back then was just manna from heaven for me. With this three-song single, their first official release, they've opted to try and find their own sound by incorporating elements of shoegaze and indie pop into their music, as can be heard in the excellent opener 'Silent'. I kind of miss the straight-up Teenage Fanclub worshipping of before, but that's just silly old me.
