Monkey To Millionaire have struck gold
When we first got our hands on Monkey To Millionaire's Lantai Merah, we gushed over the brilliant conceptual artwork (gorilla head on decapitated man). Truth is, Monkey To Millionaire needn't have bothered. The artwork almost distracted us from what's inside: Lantai Merah is one of the most exciting albums released this year. Unofficially starting off with heavy distortion and angsty lyrics about a decade ago, Monkey To Millionaire have now perfected the Franz Ferdinand/Strokes cocktail, honed that into a Molotov and picked up a band name from a motivational book in the process. We're gonna stick our neck on the line and say that the bit of clairvoyance contained in their name will come true.
