A few weeks ago, we went out into the streets and profiled the people who make it all happen–the fans–to find out what makes them the avid devotees they are (there must be some forces at work to compel someone to put on skinny jeans). We put on our lab coats and found out, through rigorous observation and analysis (not really), what they wear and what they listen to as well as attempted to decipher the thick, members-only slang. It's all appearing in the November issue of Junk, but in the meantime, check out the photos below!

where the metalheads at??!
I think.. yeah.. but there's always a portion of people that wear outfits that scream emo, goth or indie but never really a fan of such genre (this is where die-hard-fans start the name-calling; POSER!) I like indie music too. But my taste in music is way too universal, so generally it's rock. I been wearing mocha oxfords shoes/black loafers, black straight-cut jeans (the lecturers never realized!), boyfriend shirts (fancy name for big sized blouses! hey I'm not plus-sized mind you! Oversized shirts is the in thing now!), and checkered blouses most of the times. That reflects a bit of my indie love and retro hints! And I try to make it look effortlessly smart and casual.
My lil bro (he's 18) swears to never wear a single tartan shirt coz he thinks it screams indie. and he's not a fan of indie; instead he likes hardcore. So he ends up wearing knock-offs of official band shirts like Atreyu at Pertama Kompleks.. yet he wears baggy acid-wash jeans and designer sneakers. Yikes.
now dat sound weird dude... =)
What if Electro crossover with Indie? Must be indielectrifying!
