Muse
The Resistance
(Warner)
The Devon devils return with yet another correlation between rock, and ethereal visions of outer space and laser beams. Unchanged from the previous release, The Resistance strays away from static sounds of the ‘Hyper Music’ era, giving us more colossal resonances. You picture Queen thrown into orchestral arrangements and Muse is suddenly lost. But when you hear echoes of ‘Map Of The Problematique’ and see shadows of the ‘Supermassive Blackhole’, you know they’re still there, pounding strong.
