Baybeats 2008: Morning Utopia

Morning Utopia’s Fad (vocals), Zal and Faz (guitars), Esa (bass) and Rom (drums) have it good. Best friends who simply love music, they deliver sound that channels everything from glam rock to metal to the blues.

How did you guys get your band name?
The real main cause for the band's name is that "Utopia" means perfect pure bliss and an ideal place to be in. That is what the band means to us, while "Morning" defines the fresh beginnings whenever we get together to jam or even when we just wanna hang out and goof around.

What would you be doing if you weren’t in a band?
Well in reality, like most local bands, we all do have day jobs to pursue. So we can safely say that we are already doing just that and still be in a band!

If you had a chance to name a music festival, what would it be called?
Let's see, here's a few: “Tok Selit Fest”, “Only Metal Allowed” and “Funkpoppinrockthumpinmetalbanginemostoppin Music Fest”. Definitely something real funny and a very uncommon festival name. Ha!

Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but not to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
‘Cause it's bloody rude to do that?! Duh.

What will you be up to at Baybeats 2008?
Checking out the other bands playing. Goofing around. Having fun. Maybe a little prank here and there. And definitely a little bit of rocking out.
