While we can't speak for everyone, many of us at the Junk HQ are huge fans of Japan's Uniqlo. What's not to like about its high quality casual wear that can be mixed and matched to suit the individual? And at pretty affordable prices too. We've always had to get our Uniqlo fix in Singapore or Hong Kong ... now, no longer!
We just received the official word today that Uniqlo will open its first Malaysian store this fall (read: September or October for us in Malaysia). The location? Farenheit 88 on Bukit Bintang - where KL Plaza used to be.

It's gonna be a huge store - 2,140 sqm over three-levels of retail haven. When opened, there'll be about 500 items from both the brand's male and female collections, and they're inclusive of your array of basic casual wear, Japanese denim, the +J collection (collabo with Jill Sander), as well as, interestingly enough, Japanese high-tech winter wear HEATTECH and fleeces. In Malaysia?

No doubt this will be an anticipated store opening! Now, we just gotta make sure the price tags remain affordable like their outlets overseas!
H&M for malaysia plsss, uniqlo is good but its a little too minimalist and playing it safe for my taste.
Yey no longer go to Singapore no more!!!! Top Man for "top boy" and hope Malaysian price tag not singapore hehhe
i prefer tsubi to become affordable for us.LOL

There was a RM and SG price tag in Uniqlo singapore - one item was $49.90 but in RM it was RM140.00. A big mark-up!
By the way Junk, embarrassing typo in your write-up. It's Jil Sander, not Jill. Tsk tsk tsk.....
ah, childrens of the age of consumerism.
and hoping for H&M to be open tooo!
Hidup Uniqlo!
This is awesome news, UNIQLO is my favourite brand for men's clothing!
I find I either pay the same or slightly more for Topshop/Topman in Singapore cos of the exchange rate so here's to hoping that the same applies to UNIQLO. UNIQLO prices in London are also comparable to those in Singapore too.
