Japanese band Toe rocked Jupiter Hall in KL last night. Junk was there, and here's our report of what went down:
Opening bands Amberhaze, Nao, Killeur Calculateur, B-Quartet and They Will Kill Us All each held their own and gave the crowd awesome performances before Toe came on. When the Japanese went onstage, stood in a semi-circle and started playing, the crowd stood in awe as they launched from one song into another with pure concentration. Toe not only rocked the stage, but also proved to be a mesmerising live band to watch because of their exceptional instrument-playing skills.
The crowd, made up of a mix of Malaysians and Singaporeans, called for an encore and were not disappointed when the band came back and played more.
"Toe was mind fuck man, just looking at them play. As good or if not better than Exposions in the Sky for me," said a gig goer. To those who went, we hope you had as much of a good time as us.
