While we wait for our Junk writer to get back to the office later today to tell us all about it (you can bet she'll still be reeling from the interview she had with the band), we want to hear from those of you who went to the concert. Was it as great as you expected it to be? Judging from the number of YouTube vids floating around, the concert looked smashing. Remember to watch out for our Death Cab story in the October issue of Junk.
Here's the band performing 'Soul Meets Body' courtesy of burnsobright. You can also view more Death Cab performances if you click here.
Hey guys,
I really enjoyed the show too because am such fan but don't you think Ben was pretty stiff and impersonal? I seriously expected his delivery to be more emo and heartfelt.....he seemed very awkward on stage and all he could say was 'thank you very much thank you very much', which is fine, but...he could have said more!
But the closing was amazing ...the epic 'Transatlanticism'! The perfect song to end the evening.
All in all, Death Cab may not be the most flamboyant band live, but they are truly a band you keep close to your heart for a long long time to come...for me anyways :P
it was nice seeing them live. :)

Shoot! Sorry about the double post... must've been something wrong with my IE. You can delete one! :D
DCFC put on a reaaaally good show!! They're one of the rare bands that doesn't need showy multimedia and lighting effects nor a full-blown stage setup to to produce an engaging performance and take their audience's breath away. And they sound so good live you could've recorded the performance and release an album out of it the next day. I feel so lucky I managed to get tickets for this!! Watching them last night renewed my awe at Gibbard's songwriting talent.
Met the band during the autograph session and Gibbard was surprisingly quiet and withdrawn. Walla on the other hand was very nice and chatty! Have him on record promising to come to KL next time, so perhaps for us Malaysians there's some hope!! :P
Last night's set list (if my memory serves me correctly... Please point out if I missed anything or it's out of order):
1. Bixby Canyon Bridge (Narrow Stairs)
