Chip music is a type of music that uses a computer or video game console sound chip to produce tunes. The result is often chirpy noise, not unlike the ones you hear on video games, that makes you want to get up and do the robot rock.
Indonesian musician JW86 has been making this kind of music since 2006. Expect the unexpected when he performs live at Kuala Lumpur's Colourama 2008 on 1 November.
