There's nothing quite like getting a new shipment of Junk delivered to the office and us ripping it out of the pristinely wrapped brown paper it came in. The best thing to do at this point is to flip the pages and get a giant nose-full of the freshly minted chemical scent on the pages. Aaaah ... nothing like a magazine high I tell you.
Anyway, beyond the olfactory stimulus. There's plenty of eye candy in the new Junk. We got our story about masked and makeup-wearing music acts this issue to coincide with Halloween! We cover the gamut from Daft Punk to Jared Leto (hey, he counts! He wears more black around his eyes than most panda bears).
We also have interviews with Death Cab For Cutie, The Ting Tings, Singapore's Wicked Aura Batucada and Malaysia's Estranged (interviewed by Saint Loco).
The scariest thing about this issue? Malaysia's sonic terrorists Panda Head Curry? did the compilation. We're oddly attracted and frightened with the choice of including tracks by Boovan Tolgoi, The Commies and Burqa Belles.
