NME reports that The Hookham Boys are set to take the stage at their first charity gig for the Teenage Cancer Trust in London on 26 November. The new "supergroup" comprises of Damon Reece (Massive Attack, Echo And The Bunnymen, Spiritualized), Alex Lee (Placebo, Suede, Goldfrapp), Sean Cook (Spiritualized), Joe Allen (Strangelove), Jake Drake Brockman (Echo And The Bunnymen), Vincent Pellegrino and Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins).
The gig has been deemed rare on so many levels, one reason being that Elizabeth Fraser rarely performs live. Fraser has previously contributed vocals on Massive Attack's famous song 'Teardrop'. We've never heard any of their songs yet but we're still hoping that The Hookham Boys will come over to Asia just from the sheer force of Elizabeth Fraser alone.
