Singaporean alternative act Nuance has the internet to thank for finding fast friendship that established the foundation of the band. The quartet have worked hard and poured their joint effort into procuring themselves their self-titled debut EP. Opening song ‘Mesopotamia’ is unconventional and provides an acerbic account of the menace of political and religious conflict while part one and two of ‘Fear Strikes Mankind’ (separated to lessen the continuity) is decidedly haunting and melancholic. However, the real kicker is the absolute genius that is ‘Silver City’. Evocative and moving–works for me.
