As Mother’s Day falls on 10 May, we thought it only right to thank mum for giving birth to us, enduring 18 hours of labour pain for us and spending another 18 or so years putting up with all our sh*t. We got five regional music makers to express their love to their music-loving matrons of steel in our feature. We also prepare you for the ultimate electro house party of the summer in Malaysia, headlined by Junk cover star Steve Aoki with his Dim Mak cohorts for U.O.X. Play Future. Rudi of Singapore's A Vacant Affair gives us the lowdown on Perth's Soundwave festival and we also find out what Indonesian design team SCANDAL have been up to.

We review Killeur Calculateur's smashingly super short EP and albums by MSTRKRFT, Starsailor and (MF) Doom. We also detail the mayhem at Malaysian music fest Sunburst KL with a two-page spread of words and pics.
